Dear Friends,

The Filipino Japanese Movement for Global Peace (FJMGP), a registered organization actively involved in the Filipino, Japanese and International Communities was tapped by the Universal Peace Federation (UPF) to bring the Filipino Community in Japan to the Global Peace Festival (GPF) on Nov.15, 2008 in Tokyo. Around 60,000 participants are expected in the main event.

The Global Peace Festival is a worldwide celebration of family, faith and service, gathering people from different races, religions, and national origins as "One Family Under God." Universal Peace Federation (UN NGO), one of the founding organizations, promotes GPF by making partnerships with government agencies, NGO, NPO, educational institutions and faith-based organizations.

In preparation for the Global Peace Festival- Japan on November 15, 2008, FJMGP is hosting a GPF Orientation and Partnership Event on September 13, 2008, Saturday from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm (door opens at 1:40pm) at Shinjuku Bunka Center in Tokyo. (Please see attached map).

In this regard, we wish to invite you to be part of the event. There will be a group discussion session following the presentations by resource speakers from the GPF. Please join us together with other Filipino Organization Leaders and representatives to share needs and vision as well as to exchange mutual information and discuss Filipino Community participation in the main event. Let’s represent the Filipino Community in Japan as one family!
Please confirm your attendance or your representative(s) with the FJMGP Secretariat at fax no. 042-625-5317 or email
